BIRTHDAY: 11/30/06 Hi, I’m Enya! I’m currently a freshman in college pursuing a major in accounting. Initially, I wanted to major in something related to forensics to fulfill my childhood dream of becoming a mortician one day. Unfortunately, I was immersed in your stereotypical Asian household, so that fantasy couldn’t be any more far-fetched. So, I settled for accounting to avoid my parents' wrath, but I found myself enjoying it here too.

Growing up, I was a peculiar and inquisitive child. I've always been drawn to the concept of death. I assure you that my sanity is perfectly intact. I have Día de Muertos (Day of the Dead), a Mexican holiday, to thank for that. On this holiday, it is tradition to celebrate the lives of the deceased, whether it be a relative or a close friend. It was a stark contrast to how most people view death, where they dwell in constant grief. But on this particular holiday, you're acknowledging the lives of your loved ones rather than mourning them—you appreciate the life they lived. Ever since then, my perspective on death has changed, and I’ve learned to have a more positive outlook on it.

What really reinforced my peculiar interests was my odd obsession with true crime and Nancy Drew. Nancy Drew, a popular and witty detective character in the early 2000s, is someone I’ve always aspired to be like, and that aspiration remains just as relevant today. I’ve always dreamed of conducting investigations and examining bodies in murder cases, all while performing autopsies to determine the cause of death. It may sound unusual, but to me, it was the one thing that remained constant when it came to pursuing my ambitions. Now that Nancy Drew isn't as prominent of a cahracter today, I've poured all that love into NCIS, an underrated crime show that I've been watching and am determined to finish ever since I was 11 years old.
