My friend and I made the spontaneous decision to visit Manhattan, New York. The moment we landed. New York was cold and snowy, a stark contrast to the sunny and humid environment us Californians have grown accustomed to.

After checking into our hotel, our first priorities were getting breakfast and then exploring to our hearts’ content. We tried shopping for warmer clothes, but to no avail, and I almost thought we would die of hypothermia. However, the sights of New York were enough to compensate. I am so glad we decided to visit around Christmas time,

because I could truly feel the Christmas spirit and cheer in the beautifully decorated streets and hear carols playing throughout the city. It felt like a magical time, despite being on the brink of freezing to death. I especially loved visiting Central Park. Every inch of it was covered and snow, and I got to witness wildlife such as birds and squirrels roaming about, not even the slightest bit affected by the cold.

We averaged about 30k steps a day, leaving no room to rest except for meal breaks. We explored every crevice possible in Manhattan and parts of Brooklyn. The city was easy to navigate through, especially since a lot of the places we wanted to visit was either just a walk or subway ride away. I honestly envy New Yorkers for having such accessible and seamless transport.
I was so sad that our trip was soon coming to an end (we only stayed for 3 days). I'll have to come back during the summer to witness New York in all it's former glory before the snow covered a good majority of the city. I still had an amazing time and I would like to thank my dear friend for being able to tolerate my homesickness and lack of stamina during our trip.

Hello, I’m
Enya (恩雅)! I’m currently a college freshman majoring in accounting. I love coding interactive websites as a hobby. I often think about how I’d be excelling in every college course if I were just as devoted to writing code as I am to studying. I'm still fairly new to coding, and I've yet to actually retain any coding languages, so I'm not even considered to be an intermediate. However, as soon as school isn't as overwhelming, I have intentions of changing that to become a software developer and build my very own game one day. As of right now, my current life revolves around punching in numbers into a spreadsheet and making invoice reports, not mastering C++.

If you're interested in learning more about me, I took the liberty of creating a page dedicated to my personality and interests (I promise I'm not a narcissist). You can locate it in the "Navigation" section where it says
"More Enya". I hope we share similar interests and hobbies :)

Cheers to procastinating from important assignments and tasks, rather than utilizing the time to study for Calculus II!
